Another Day

Another day, another gorgeous skirt from LOFT. And yet another motion I am trying to get out the door so not much to say.....

Safari Chic/Yellow Pattern Tee

This picture is funny - what am I looking at?

Anyway, I have been completely and totally M.I.A. lately because work has been beyond busy, because I had to file three motions for summary judgment in a three week period this month.  If you are a litigator, you know why that is completely gnarly.  If you are not a litigator, well, just trust me. It's rough.

In any event, the clouds have parted and I can see the light once again (perhaps that's what I'm looking at in the picture?), so I am determined to get back in the blogging swing. Today I'm sporting yet another LOFT skirt (seriously, I just placed an order for EIGHT more - losing weight is great for the confidence, bad for the budget, and fun for the shopping addict).  I love this skirt - its got a total safari vibe and the color is really versatile.  Plus its a great one to dress up or down.  Only downside is linen is wrinkly as all get-out.

Top: Old Navy (alternative)
Cardigan: Old Navy (cute alternative)
Skirt: LOFT
Shoes: Jessica Simpson (alternative)
Necklace: J.Crew Factory (alternative)

Before I go, let's check out a few other ways I've styled this (surprisingly versatile) tee....

In September 2014 with a beloved pink skirt (wish it still fit!):

In June 2013, with some jeans and cognac accessories:

And in April 2013, with a bit of purple:

Patterned Up

Fastest of lunch runs today down to Whole Foods, joined by Jen, who styled and staged this lovely backdrop.  Perfect since we are all patterned up today!

Karen says...

The stripes on my shirt are actually the same as this wallpaper.  Then it turns out that the colors of my pumps are the same as the tiles on the floor.

In other news, I have a hair appointment coming up and am looking to lighten up in color and style...

Shirt: Theory (like this)
Skirt: Madewell 1937 (like this)
Shoes: Zara (how about some pre-owned Diors like these!)

Three years ago in May I was rockin' the balayage!  Those were the days of some high maintenance hair, lemme tell ya.  Looking back for hair inspo.

Paloma says...

Speaking of hair, I am crazy overdue for a cut and color and it shows. You can always tell when I am in need of a cut because I start wearing my hair up more often.  Anyway, I love the location of our photo today, and love that we both sported some sort of stripe-y pattern that matches the wall.... three cheers for thinking in unison, always. :)

Cami: LOFT (not same colors, but similar style)
Cardy: Ann Taylor (alternative)
Skirt: The Limited
Bag: Madewell (I think I need to buy another one in black, no?)

More Green and Stripes

And across town, it turns out I am wearing the same colors as Paloma!  There was no memo on this!  I love us!

Fun Fact: This is a blouse Paloma told me to buy back in 2012 when we were on a lunch break at Target.

Shirt: Merona x Target (like this)
Skirt: Madewell 1937 (or how about this)
Shoes: Zara (I would love these!)

Green and Stripes

Happy Monday, peeps. I took an unplanned hiatus from posting last week, for no reason other than, ya know, life.  Anyway, hoping to be back to regularly scheduled programming this week.

Sporting one of my favorite dresses of all time today - which I pretty much wear with a cardigan, always. Because of course. Speaking of, this kelly green cardigan has been in my closet since law school and I still adore it.

Dress: J.Crew (great alternative)
Cardigan: J.Crew (alternative)
Shoes: Banana Republic (alternative)

Let's check out three ways I wore this dress in the past...

Here it is a few months ago on Instagram, with a belt and a purple cardigan/red shoe combo....

And in April 2014, belted with a blue cardigan and - gasp! - flats.

And in November 2013 with baubles, basic black, and again with the flats! The horror. ;-)
