May is here, my favorite month!  And I get to start it with Paloma, my favorite blogger!  Well, it was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it photo opp with each other today, but well worth walking a few blocks and giving up some billable time, because we know exactly how this works.  It's funny how fast and effortless it is to take photos of each other.  A year and a half later, we totally have this down to a science.

As for the outfit, um, it's really hot today and there's no escaping some amount of discomfort.  This is the same dress from this post, over a year ago.  I remember that was a cold day.  It's nice to be able to work these pieces in different ways, at different times.

Look! It's me with a backdrop other than my office door! It's so exciting!! I echo Karen's sentiments: it was truly a delight to be with her, snapping pictures, just like old times.  Back when this blog truly felt like a collaboration because it was our excuse to sneak away from our desks, take some pics, and gab every day.

And I am modeling one of my new Stitch Fix duds - this ruffle front blouse in a gorgeous shade of green.  I have got to say, my stylist really nailed it this time. I love every single piece. I was contemplating returning one of the items (a cardigan in a shade that I already own but which fits like a dream), but when I realized returning one item would make my fix more expensive than if I kept it (because you get the discount when you buy all five items) - I realized I basically had  to keep it.  Darn.

  1. Found your blog via Outfit Posts and I'm hooked! Paloma, I especially love your use of colour. (Green and purple today? Genius!) So professional and chic. Thanks to you, I am now on the hunt for pencil skirts and cardis in bold colours (I am dreaming of a purple pencil skirt and plan to shamelessly copy you by wearing it with a mustard cardigan). Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Aw thanks for the compliment!! I am a big fan of colors and of mixing up unexpected combinations. But it wasn't until I became an avid fashion blog reader that I really started this habit. This emerald green color is my current obsession and purple is always at the top of my list! thanks for reading! -- Paloma
