I don't want to get all political or anything, but seriously - WHAT JUST HAPPENED? Feel in a daze today - shell shocked by the results yesterday and disappointed that I had to admit to my two young daughters that fear-mongering and hate won. Worse still, it was my daughter's seventh birthday and she really wanted the first female president to be elected on her birthday. Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.
Allowing myself to be cranky today, but tomorrow I will start anew and try to be hopeful. For my kids.

ReplyDeleteI felt the exact same way...down to having to explain to my two daughters (my oldest turned 7 November 2nd!). I'm still coming to terms with it one week later. I'll hold on to hope and keep telling my girls that they can be anything they dream, with hard work and perseverance.
