Early Lunch in Late Summer

Always a treat to lunch together. And we just love it when we inadvertently coordinate - it happens quite a lot! Today it was floral shirts + A-line skirts!

I am not even going to comment on what a crummy blogger I've been this summer because, well, I am starting to sound like a broken record.  Going to start blogging more, blah, blah, I swear, blah, blah... at this point, I don't even believe myself!

In any event, I love this blouse. It combines two of my most favorite colors (coral + purple), is a nice light weight, and can be dressed up or down.  Pretty damn perfect.

We had a lot, and I mean a lot, to catch up on, as well as being way overdue for another post.

We both miss the days where we posted whatever we wore, whatever it was, every single day.  I don't think either of us thinks that we're adding anything huge to the fashion blogger landscape - it's just amusing to post what we wear to work, and do it together.  It's a fun place to see our outfits lined up week after week, and a great way to push ourselves to stay creative.  Or stay accountable.  In reality, we could probably keep about 20 pieces total and just change it up every day, no one at the office would notice the difference.  This reminds me of like, that teacher in high school with a frizzy perm and blue eye makeup and you're like, why!  Why!  Why can't she just turn on the TV and see that people are not doing this anymore!  So, now that I'm on the wrong side of my mid-thirties, it's fun to keep a (sorta) daily weblog of how my tastes are changing, and hopefully - not for the worst.

Lunch today was at Public School.  Pictures after were at the Standard.  I watched an episode of Sex and the City last night where Carrie wore a late summer outfit of a tied-up button down with a full skirt.  She then went to Charlotte's apartment to yell at her for not loaning her the down payment for her apartment.  I got the late summer part down.  Thanks, Carrie, as ever, for the simple inspiration.

Shirt: Forever 21 (just like this)

  1. Both outfits are very cute, and I'm impressed that you did this on Wednesday, like a throwback to your Wear it Wednesday series. :)
