Easing Into Spring

I haven't had the most bloggable outfits lately, because I've been obsessed with black, and I thought, oh, do I just post another picture of all black?  It could be because I've darkened my hair, and black just feels right; or it could be all the nonstop Pinteresting of normcore looks, and realizing the easiest way to approximate it is to layer black.  For my Birkenstocks (yes, I bought some!).  For my Nixon watch.  For my beanies.  For my Vans slip-ons.  Etc.

I remain ever impressed with Paloma's ability to keep serving variety chic.  In three years' time we've seldom - if ever - repeated the same outfit!  And Paloma does it so well.  Is it just a perfectly curated closet?  The credit goes to the curator herself.

So, in merging my I-love-black self with the setting in of spring, today I match a loose black t-shirt with one of my favorite vibrant pencil skirts.  The photo is courtesy of my lovely co-worker Jen, as we lunched al fresco at Daily Dose.

And... I am headed to - gasp - ITALY tomorrow!  It's a quick trip with my working sis, to see family and old friends, before heading back and buckling down for a busy summer here at work.  There will be bloggable moments then, I am sure.  Ci vediamo in Italia!
