It's not what you think.
Today is a small ode to our inexpensive nude pumps, ever the working girl's go-to.

Monday. Not ready for you. None of us are. Not me, as shown in this photo, and not my co-worker, who was coaxed out of his office to snap this in the hurriest of hurries.
Thoughts on the outfit. Should stop using this casual tote for work, even if I love it so much. Thought these were my black skinny pants, but actually they're my black jeans. The whole outfit is rather casual, actually. But still love the sky-high patent leather nude pumps that can make even pajamas look alright.
Tiny faux pearls: Heavenly Couture
"ciao bella": Urban Outfitters
Love layering two necklaces, which sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. The "ciao bella" came with some other Urban Outfitters items I snagged. With the $4.99 necklace, I got free shipping.
Last thought. That which I can't fix on a sleep-deprived face, dark eyeliner and/or dark lipstick usually can.
Cardigan: The Limited / Tank: Old Navy / Skirt: Merona x Target / Shoes: Mossimo x Target
Earrings (not visible): delicate handmade gold hoops (bridesmaid gift)

Here's the thing (or three) about my "nude" shoes: they literally go with everything, they make my legs look longer, and they are ridiculously comfortable. Oh yeah, and at $30 they were a virtual steal.
It follows, therefore, that I want to wear these shoes every day. I rest my case.
(Sorry, too much lawyering going on today, apparently).
